Size
Male dogs have a shoulder height
which varies between 46 and 52 cm's. At females, this varies
between 40 and 46 cm's. |

Coat
Abundant, especially the male
dogs. Upper coat is long, straight and rough. On the head
and in front of the legs the coat is shorter. A soft and dense
under coat. All colours are admitted, but the base colours
have to dominate. |
Care
Particularly
in moult a shegherd rake can be extremely suitable to remove
the loose hair of the undercoat.

Nature
Friendly,
intelligent, social, watchful, works gladly for its boss,
active, affectionate, hard for itself and vigorous.

Education
The Finish
lap dog is intelligent and eager to learn, that's why he becomes
the ideal student. In the different branches of the dog sport,
including fly-ball or adroitness, he can belong to the bests.

Sociality
This dog
is very social by nature. He has a very good contact with
children and normally spoken he can endure very much of them.
But he can
also get very well along with other animals. The Finnish lap-dog
is watchfull in the sense that he announce strangers, but
he won't defend you and your property, he has a to gentle
character for that.

Exercise
The breed
needs reasonable exercise, running beside the bicycle is one
of the possibilities, but he also enjoys long walks in the
forest. Because of his shepherd dog properties he will allways
stay near to you during a walk.
